We and my partner went camping for 4 days and 3 nights in May 2024. We went to a site called Catgill Farm.
We arrived to the campsite about 1.30pm and we where luckily set up by 2pm. We explored the campsite first of all and got to know where everything was and had a lovely chocolate ice cream from the shop that's on site! We then took a short stroll to Bolton Abbey and then headed back to the campsite for a homemade woodfired pizza!
The next day we woke up and headed for a hot chocolate at the onsite kitchen called Cat's Kitchen. We then headed out on our walking day. and did a whopping 30.6k steps. We saw lots of gorgeous scenery, we walked in the woods alongside a river which went most of the way. We even saw an incredible waterfall. However, we did walk through a field full of cows and they didn't seem to happy! During the walk we stopped at a café to have a sandwich an a drink for lunch. When we had finished the walk we then headed back to the campsite for a game of Dobble and some dinner, which was a pot noodle (the green one of course!) Then watched the sunset.
We started the next day with a hot chocolate again and relaxed and played some games during the morning. At 12pm we headed to the nearby café for an English breakfast, which was super scrummy, and then walked around Bolton Abbey and saw some baby lambs, as it was a lovely sunny afternoon. We went back to the campsite for an ice cream in the sun and played some more games on the field. The night then ended with another woodfired pizza from Cat's Kitchen.
Then the fourth and final day was leaving day, we woke up and obviously got another hot chocolate and croissant from Cat's Kitchen and then by 9.15am we where all packed up and ready to hit the road home.
